I wouldn't say that...Lineage is a paid for game that people did get paid to program...

So here is a new game that is free....but my question is the servers to play it on going to be free as well?

Moot point for me, as I wont play it either way. I only get so many hours to game a week, and recently all my time has been on Xbox 360... which sadly isn't much time, which I don't forsee increasing until sometime about 2012.

You're missing my point lol. Yes Lineage was MADE, people got PAID to make it... but what we are playing... its just code. It is what they Made.... nothing more, there is no support. No one is fixing bugs, releasing patches. Now with a game like this, there is a whole Dev team committed to making it and Maintaining it, where as no one is maintaining L2.

As far as servers go? I am sure the game will be a low demand on system, you could tack it onto an existing server with no problem.

Yup, works well. Funny how not playing Halo 3 it for 6 hours straight, and keeping it in a cool, well ventilated area really helps to stop the RROD.

lol not arguing just pointing out the invalidity of his statements. I don't work in the Law Library, just the general one lol. My time will soon be used for drawing/design as I am ramping up my efforts to create my portfolio.

A side note to the 360. Mine had always given me the "cannot read disc" error, which I hated heh. A friend of mine essentially had the "video" card on his go out, been 2 months and I still think his is at M$ heh.

Yea if you treat em right, they wont break (shouldn't). Funny thing is I know people who will treat their 360 like shit, but wont let their comp be on for more then 2 hours, and have that think all liquid cooled and shit. They don't seem to understand that Consoles are just Limited PCs.

edit on that... Cause the PS3 really isn't limited... seeing as how you can put Linux on it. There are some great Linux based OPs that run everything windows does... not sure if they work 100% though when loaded on a PS3.
My guess is no heh, some day though.

Until the PS3 gets some quality apps, it is nothing more than blu-ray player.
And if blu-ray goes the way of Betamax, it will be a dandy door stop. (and don't even think about starting the "blu ray will beat out HD-DVD" argument, because 1. I don't care, and 2. if you fall back on the "its a good blu-ray player" argument then you are stupid and bought a PS3 for the wrong reasons... or you like wasting money...)

And yes if I had the time, I would go to Law School.

There really is not an arguement on Blu ray being better then HD-dvd lol.. where have you been? Paramount is the ONLY company that is supporting HD-DVD. It's Contract is up this summer. HD-DVD is dead heh.

Also the ps3 has some awesome apps coming, but for the price? yea its crazy heh. Also, go watch Planet Earth on Blu Ray on a 1080p TV..... It will blow your mind. Unfortuntely thats all it will blow... I am still waiting for true VR Porn.....

PS3 has always been about "great apps coming". I am not a hater, just a realist that wants more than promises and "wait til ______ comes out!!!". Xbox and Wii are just better now. Maybe in 1 year it will be different, but...

Hell yea. I agree with this. I am teaching myself HTML and all that web shit as we speak lol. I plan on learning guitar and piano by the time I graduate in 2 years too.

If I am gonna spend money, it might as well be on things that may someday, pay me back Smile

You're missing my point lol. Yes Lineage was MADE, people got PAID to make it... but what we are playing... its just code. It is what they Made.... nothing more, there is no support. No one is fixing bugs, releasing patches. Now with a game like this, there is a whole Dev team committed to making it and Maintaining it, where as no one is maintaining L2.

As far as servers go? I am sure the game will be a low demand on system, you could tack it onto an existing server with no problem.
